Safety and Environmental Specialist (m/f/d)

As a Safety & Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in building, further developing and operationally implementing our Environmental Management System with a focus on ISO 14001 as well as occupational health and safety. You will act as a sparring partner for management and specialist departments and ensure that environmental management and occupational safety are not only documented but truly embedded in our daily work.

Your responsibilities:

• Maintain and further develop the existing ISO 14001 certification
• Develop and implement EHS strategies and advise specialist departments and executive management
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and occupational health & safety laws and regulations
• Carry out risk analyses and assessments to identify hazards and implement preventive measures
• Conduct accident investigations and reporting
• Prepare and support internal and external audits
• Train and raise awareness among employees and managers
• Prepare KPIs and reports for management and relevant stakeholders

Your profile:

• Completed (technical) university degree, preferably in environmental sciences, engineering, safety engineering or a comparable qualification
• Relevant practical experience in the field of environment, health and safety, ideally in an industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of national and international EHS requirements and standards (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, REACH, Hazardous Substances Ordinance) as well as regulations and legislation on occupational health and safety
• Knowledge of and experience in conducting audits, including documentation and follow-up
• Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and independent way of working
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills at all hierarchical levels
• Excellent German and English skills
