Global Commodity Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

 

  • Develop and implement global strategies for the IC (active components) product category to drive business growth and achieve cost savings.
  • Conducting procurement market analyses and contract negotiations with suppliers to ensure best-in-class prices and terms.
  • Conducting Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), including benchmarking and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses to ensure optimal supplier selection.
  • Supplier selection and management in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent alignment with corporate strategies and policies.
  • Planning and monitoring material cost trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Optimizing procurement and sourcing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.
  • Contribute to product lifecycle management, including component selection, product launch, and end-of-life management.
  • Maintaining and managing procurement-related master data, ensuring data quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Preparing monthly purchasing reports and assisting with the definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure purchasing performance.
  • Providing support and escalating issues related to material shortages, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.

 

Your profile: 

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Alternatively: Business training combined with several years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Several years of professional experience in procurement and/or supply chain management, ideally in the electronics industry
  • In-depth knowledge of electronic components and assemblies
  • Experience in contract negotiations and supplier management
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a strong ability to get things done
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ideally with experience in SAP S/4HANA
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
