Group Tax Manager (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

 

  • Contact person for internal tax-related inquiries from various departments in both national and international contexts
  • Coordination and handling of tax matters relating to the German entities in close cooperation with a Big Four tax advisory firm
  • Support with year-end tax closing activities and preparation of tax returns
  • Close coordination and collaboration with authorities as well as external advisors in Germany and abroad
  • Support and coordination of group-wide tax planning topics
  • Timely preparation and submission of VAT advance returns and annual VAT returns
  • Transfer Pricing: support in the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation (including master file and local file), as well as acting as a contact person for subsidiaries, advisors and internal departments
  • Support and coordination of tax matters relating to foreign permanent establishments and international group companies
  • Preparation and support of national and cross-border tax audits
  • Participation in the development and enhancement of our group-wide digital tax platform
  • Support in the global coordination and continuous optimization of tax processes and structures across the group
  • Reporting and compliance to ensure adherence to tax regulations

 

Your profile:

 

  • Completed training in a tax-related field followed by several years of hands-on professional experience, ideally around 4–5 years, in a tax advisory firm, auditing firm or tax consultancy or
  • Successfully completed degree in tax law, business administration or a related field, ideally with a focus on taxation, finance or accounting, combined with relevant hands-on professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of German tax law; initial exposure to international tax matters would be an advantage
  • Interest in moving from advisory into an international in-house role with long-term development potential
  • Experience in working with corporate clients and in handling and coordinating tax-related matters
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); knowledge of SAP FI/CO is beneficial; initial experience with platforms and AI is an advantage
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Analytical mindset, structured way of working, strong communication skills, high level of initiative and a team-oriented approach
