Working Student DevOps & Cybersecurity (m/f/d)

As a working student in the field of DevOps and cybersecurity, you will support our team in automating, ensuring security standards and managing our infrastructure and development processes. You will work closely with the system administration, development and security teams to ensure that our applications and systems are operated both efficiently and securely. You will learn a lot about modern DevOps practices as well as cybersecurity and network security.

Your tasks:

• Support in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, taking security aspects into account (e.g. code scanning, secret management)
• Automation of build, test and deployment processes
• Collaboration on the implementation of security mechanisms in infrastructures (e.g. IAM management, network security cloud/on-prem)
• Support in monitoring systems to quickly identify and respond to security incidents (e.g. by implementing logging and alerts)
• Management and scaling of container technologies
• Collaboration with development and security teams to implement security measures in infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• Support in vulnerability management, penetration testing and security analysis

Your profile:

• Degree in computer science, cybersecurity, business informatics or a related field
• Good knowledge of Linux and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python)
• Basic knowledge of network technologies and protocols
• Initial experience with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and the automation of build and deployment processes is an advantage
• Interest in cybersecurity and the implementation of secure development processes
• Basic understanding of network security, cryptography and security protocols
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and an independent way of working
